Wanna know what’s easy?
Looking in the mirror and noticing what you don’t like.
Worrying about what could go wrong.
Noticing all the things that aren’t how you thought they would be at this point in your life, and then feeling bad about it.
Blaming other people or other things when you feel bad, or crediting other people or things when you feel good.
Wanna know what’s hard?
Being kind to yourself no matter what.
Knowing that worry is a waste of energy and rather than preventing bad news, it only creates exhaustion.
Practicing self-care and self-love daily.
Taking ownership of your life in a way that is empowering and energizing.
Emotional adulthood.
And happiness.
Happiness is hard work.
Our natural default setting is to scan for problems.
It’s how our ancestors survived before civilization.
Thank you mind for helping my ancestors survive! Now I live in suburbia so the constant scanning for problems isn’t so necessary. But thanks.
You can relax now.
Let’s have fun and thrive now.
Let’s evolve now.
If you’re interested in learning how to do the work of self-care and evolution, I’m currently screening for participants to work one on one with me in Be Bold. Also taking names for the waiting list for the Be Bold Virtual Workshop beginning in January. Are you ready for happy?
